1. Received International Recognition as a Security Researcher:

    Vivek made two major presentations - "The Caffe Latte Attack" and "WEP Cloaking Exposed" in 2007. These presentations established him as a leading security researcher in the world. He has since, been quoted and named on websites such as BBC, Computer World, IT World, Network World, The Register etc. He was also featured in the 6PM news on CBS5 where he demonstrated the Caffe Latte attack against the iPhone.


  2. Featured in the India Top 10 list in the Microsoft Security Shootout contest:

    Vivek Ramachandran in the Top 10 Finalist List

    Microsoft had organized an India wide Web Application Security contest called Microsoft Security Shootout in 2006. Vivek made it to the India Top 10 list among a reported 50,000+ participants. The competition consisted of 4 rounds. In round 3, Vivek uncovered more than 100+ security holes and fixed all of them. In the final round Vivek was interviewed by Security Evangelists from Microsoft's Redmond Lab. He was awarded in a formal ceremony held in Bangalore in Aug 2006.


  3. Team Achievement Award at Cisco Systems:

    Vivek received a Team Achievement Award at Cisco Systems for his contributions to a customer release in the Port Security and 802.1x modules on the Catalyst 6500 series of switches

    The E+ rating is awarded to only the top 8%-10% of all Cisco employees worldwide. My performance summary by my current manager additionally states "He has delivered consistently right from the beginning and has surpassed all my expectations for his current position."
